Welcome to Items & Things.

The Berlin based label run by Magda, Marc Houle and Troy Pierce has entered a new chapter.

Forever excited by new music, Summer 2011 saw the trio rejuvenate and re-focus on their formerly dormant imprint, Items & Things.

"Items and Things are bits and pieces of uniqueness we come across," they say. "The label is a platform to launch the music that we love. There are no rules, just sounds we like and artists we believe in."

As well as the label, Items & Things will to continue with their boutique Down & Out party series. Aiming to recapture some of the rawness of yesterday, the parties take place in underground venues across the globe. From the weird and the wonderful to the dark and experimental, you can expect it all from Items & Things and Down & Out in the coming months.

From the first days of their careers, Items & Things label owners Magda, Troy Pierce & Marc Houle have always had a deep love & appreciation for the intimate. The dark & dirty. The underground. As a means to showcase talent on the Items & Things label, they have put together their own version of a special night – Down & Out.

Bringing their heaviest artillery in tracks, a stash of smaller-room sounds, and a vibe that feels more 'family' than club-land...sometimes even inviting friends to play D&O with them (past guests have included Chloe, Jimmy Edgar).

The concept visually – is to enter a space that feels new. Maybe you've been to the location 20 times, but the night you walk in the door for D&O it makes you feel like you're discovering it for the first time. Fans should expect detail in decoration, excellent visual graphics & lighting effects, and more surprises!

Down & Out nights are about music you can reach out & touch. Big music for sweatier spaces.

Besides the special decoration and production, the line-up of a Down & Out event will always feature all three Items & Things founders Magda, Marc Houle and Troy Pierce, plus their guests.
